Educators are innovators.

Future ready learners will innovate and problem-solve when engaged in 3D modeling and printing, robotics, architectural design, and digital media to inspire various passion projects and career pathways.
— Katie Andersen, VP of Curriculum

RSF is dedicated to helping the teachers in our schools do more by providing additional funding for innovative projects. We seek to help them create an engaging and exciting learning environment, and to help our students succeed in a world in which science, technology, engineering, art and math are increasingly a part of every facet of our economy and society, from the arts to zoology.

  • We believe our efforts can help ignite the spark that will lead a child to a love of learning and exploration. We hope to help them bridge the gap between studying traditional science curricula and exploring the world around them through multidisciplinary programs that combine science and math with other areas of study, including social studies, language arts, and the arts.

The Rhinebeck Science Foundation will accomplish its mission by:

-Working closely with teachers, administrators and the school board

-Facilitating partnerships with local colleges and research facilities

-Raising funds from individuals, corporations, and other foundations

-Funding educational programs across a range of academic disciplines

-Funding professional development for our teachers

-Sponsoring events and initiatives that educate and inspire students and parents

-Encouraging opportunities for students to be engaged in shaping the educational process.

  • The Rhinebeck Science Foundation seeks to create lasting impact for the Rhinebeck Central School District and its students. We work with the community, teachers, administrators, the school board, and even students, to create and fund programs, from imaginative pilot programs to larger investments.

We favor projects that focus on hands-on learning and innovative teaching methods to help students connect what they learn to their lives outside the classroom and to encourage them to explore their world through science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math.

  • More than ever, the district, our partners, and our students are inspiring us while raising the bar for learning and innovation. As the co-Presidents of the Rhinebeck Science Foundation, we could not be more proud of our community. Since our founding in 2007, RSF has consistently relied on these partnerships to achieve our mission of lasting impact in our schools.

The 2022-23 school year has focused on returning to normal, and we see the community coming back together and stepping up for each other. We’ve continued working with teachers and partners to reinvigorate pre-pandemic programs such as the RHS journalism conference at Columbia University and InfoChat. And we feel emboldened to grow, innovate and embrace new programs like BMS’s Innovation & Biomimicry enrichment class and supplying heart rate monitors for gym classes. We are honored to work with RCSD administration to launch pilot programs and develop short- and long-term projects such as repurposing spaces for improved creative collaboration.

Also new and refreshing are all of the new families who have joined our district. WELCOME! The energy, smiles and talents you bring give our dedicated community an optimistic boost! Just last spring, we welcomed back the RSF Gala. This community and our partners blew us away with a POP!, supporting STEAM programs and having a great time. Thanks to our tireless volunteers providing a one of a kind community event.

RSF is a 100% volunteer-led organization that is 100% dedicated to investing in programs that excite students with initiatives that ignite their curiosity and promote collaboration. The only way we can continue to fund beloved programs such as the CLS STEM Lab and Embody Art and continue to embrace exciting, new programs is through your generous support.

We thank you for anything you can donate to support innovative education in our community. Small, medium and large donations are all greatly appreciated. Let’s keep showing up for each other and our schools.

    Our deepest gratitude,

    Maureen Terranova
