Nathaniel Charny

Nathaniel is the principal of Charny & Associates, a Rhinebeck-based law firm engaged in the field of labor and employment law. Nathaniel represents workers in individual and class-action suits as well as international, national and local labor unions in their union-management relations and litigation. Nathaniel also provides counsel to small businesses and not-for-profit organizations as to compliance, transactions and organizational development.

Nathaniel serves as Senior Litigation Counsel to the Worker Justice Center of New York, a state-based workers’ rights advocacy organization, and he is Vice-Chair of the Board of Netroots Foundation, a national not-for-profit organization focused on advancing progressive values through new media and technology, including organization of Netroots Nation, the country’s largest annual gathering of progressive activists.

Nathaniel serves as RSF’s legal advisor.

Nathaniel Charny and Carla Goldstein have one child attending Bulkeley Middle School and one child attending Rhinebeck High School. Nathaniel was active in the Parent-Teacher Association at NEST+M, a K-12 public school in New York City, before moving to Rhinebeck.
