Thomas McKibbin-Vaughan

Tom McKibbin-Vaughan has lived in Rhinebeck since the age of 4, and graduated from Rhinebeck Central School in 1979 as class Valedictorian.

After graduating from Union College with a degree in Earth and Environmental Science, Tom taught science and math at schools including The Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland; the Oakwood School in Poughkeepsie; and The American School in Switzerland.

He also earned his Masters in Marine Geochemistry from SUNY-Stony Brook, subsequently working at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute in Woods Hole, MA.

Tom currently works as a physician's assistant. He and his wife, Deirdre, have two children in the Rhinebeck schools. Tom is an avid cyclist and soccer player.
